What every visit includes

  • Mowing at the right height for the season. We never scalp. Cutting at the proper height keeps your grass thick and green and helps it crowd out weeds.
  • String trimming. Around fences, trees, garden beds, and every obstacle the mower cannot reach.
  • Edging. Clean lines along driveways, walkways, and garden beds.
  • Blow-off. Clippings cleared from driveways, walkways, and patios, so the whole property looks finished.

How we mow

A good cut is about more than a mower passing over grass. Here is what goes into every visit:

  • The one-third rule. We never cut more than one-third of the grass blade at once. Taking more shocks the plant and turns lawns brown. Steady, measured cuts keep roots deep and grass dense.
  • Height matched to the season. GTA lawns are cool-season grasses like Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and fine fescue. In summer heat we cut taller, around 3 to 3.5 inches, so the grass shades its own roots and holds moisture. In spring and fall we go a touch shorter.
  • Sharp blades, clean cuts. A sharp blade slices grass cleanly so it heals fast. Dull blades tear, leaving brown, ragged tips behind.
  • Alternating patterns. We change mowing direction between visits so the grass does not develop a lean and the soil does not compact into ruts.
  • Clippings handled right. When conditions allow, clippings are mulched back into the lawn, returning nutrients to the soil. On overgrown cuts, we bag and clear so the lawn is not smothered.

Schedules

Weekly. Our most popular plan through peak season, roughly May to September. The lawn always looks freshly cut.

Bi-weekly. A good fit for the slower shoulder months when growth eases off.

One-time. Need a single cut? We offer one-time mowing for overgrown lawns, pre-event cleanups, and everything in between. Get in touch for a quote.

How often should I mow? During peak season, weekly. In spring and fall, bi-weekly is usually enough. More in our FAQs.

Price: Grass cutting starts at $40 per visit.

Mowing season in the GTA

  • First cut: late April to early May, once the grass wakes up and starts growing steadily.
  • Peak season: roughly May to September, when weekly service keeps up with fast growth.
  • Final cut: late October into early November. The last cut goes a little shorter to help the lawn head into winter clean, and it pairs well with a fall cleanup.

Frequently asked questions

Grass cutting starts at $40 per visit. Your exact price depends on the size of your property and how often you would like service. Quotes are free, with no hidden fees, and we usually reply the same day.

Most GTA lawns are cool-season grasses, and they do best cut a little tall: around 3 to 3.5 inches in summer. Taller grass shades the soil, holds moisture, and crowds out weeds. In spring and fall, a slightly shorter cut works well.

Usually late April to early May, once temperatures rise and the grass starts growing steadily. An early first cut at a moderate height sets the lawn up well for the season.

The final cut usually lands in late October or early November. We cut a little shorter for the last mow so the grass heads into winter clean and is less prone to snow mold. It pairs well with our fall cleanup service.

Yes. One-time cuts are available for overgrown lawns, pre-event cleanups, or whenever you need it. Heavily overgrown lawns may need an initial cleanup cut first, and we will include that in your quote up front. Contact us for a quote.

Both, depending on conditions. When the grass is at a normal height, we mulch clippings back into the lawn to feed the soil. On overgrown cuts, we bag and clear so thick clippings do not smother the grass.

No. As long as we can access the yard, with the gate unlocked and pets kept inside, we will take care of everything. Come home to a freshly cut lawn.

Visit time depends on the size of your lawn and how much trimming is needed. We never rush a cut to hit a time target.

Yes, please. If you have sprinkler heads, invisible fence wiring, or anything fragile near the lawn edge, mark it or let us know before the first visit. It protects your property and lets us work with confidence.

Yes. Hedge trimming is a separate service, but we can schedule it alongside your regular mowing visits. Just mention it when you request a quote.

No, we focus on residential homes only. That focus is what lets us keep quality consistent on every visit.
